We will be at Sizewell Hall from Friday evening, 4th May, to Sunday afternoon, 6th May.

If you have been before, you’ll know how special these times are together. If you haven’t been before, you’re in for a treat. We have a guest speaker, wonderful food, activities for the children, times of prayer and very enriching free time when we can relax and have fun together.

Women's World Day of Prayer

a service planned by and focusing on the people of Malaysia.
Friday 2nd March, 2p.m.at St Clare’s

This is a special service involving women from all the churches in Framlingham. If you are around during the day, please come!

Women's World Day of Prayer is a global, ecumenical movement of informed prayer and prayerful action, organized and led by Christian women who call the faithful together on the first Friday in March each year to observe a common day of prayer and who, in many countries, have a continuing relationship in prayer and service. The service is prepared by a different country each year and that country then becomes the focus of the world's prayers on the day itself. The first service of the day will take place on the Island of Samoa and the last service will take place on American Samoa. From the time that dawn breaks over the Island of Samoa until the last services of this special day, the world is circled in prayer for 36 hours.

The symbol of the Women's World Day of Prayer was designed in 1982 for the service prepared by women of Ireland, both north and south, and was then adopted as the International Logo. The design comprises arrows converging from the four points of the compass, four figures kneeling in prayer, the Celtic cross and a circle representing the world and our unity through all our diversity.

Course in Preaching

7.30-9.30p.m., Monday evenings 5th March to 30th April, at Bethesda Baptist Church. This course will help if you want to begin preaching or hone your preaching skills. It covers reflection, forming a sermon outline, background illustration, developing ideas, helping people to listen, lessons from Jesus, relating to the ‘audience’, meeting today’s challenges and opportunities to practice. Spaces are limited so book early; you need to be recommended by your church in the form of two references from church leaders, and the course costs £40.
