A Comforting Voice - Isaiah 43:1-7

Ken draws out, from Isaiah 43 and around the bible, the comfort God promises His people throughout the ages and today.
In addition to Isaiah 43, the following texts are referred to:
   Psalm 23 -in the midst of death, God’s comfort is always there, He is beside us
   Psalm 119: 52 ‘I meditate on your age-old laws, oh Lord, they comfort me’
   Psalm 120 & 121 ‘I cried out to the Lord and He answered my prayer, therefore my help comes from the Lord’
   Psalm 41 says that the Lord nurses those that are sick and eases their pain and discomfort
   Exodus 14 on reaching the Red Sea the people are discouraged, Moses quotes God as saying ‘Don’t be afraid for I am with you’
   John 14-16 ‘On earth you will have trouble, but take courage I have overcome the world’
   Acts 23       God tells Paul to be encouraged and to go to Rome and share the good news with them.
   Romans 8  ‘All things work together for the good of those who love Him’
   2 Corinthians 1:4 ‘…God … who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God’
