Peter starts by using a slideshow to illustrate Paul’s missionary journeys, using maps, and to give us the bible verses about his parting from the churches he had taught, many of which he had established.
He reflects on Paul’s dedication to his commission by God to take the Good News of Jesus, the Messiah, to the Gentiles, despite many, many disasters, trials, prison terms and stonings. He also shows that Paul had a ‘servant’ style of leadership, as Jesus had demonstrated to his disciples and had taught them, which is an excellent model for all of us as we lead in our various roles in the church and in life.
There is much to learn in this talk!
