Robert begins with a video clip of ‘Keeping up appearances’ and uses it as an analogy of the Pharisees, as evident in Luke 14 and elsewhere in the gospels. He encourages us to invite people in and ensure they know they are welcome just as they are and they don’t need to fulfil any requirements to come to church (be a member, wear a suit/dress, be good people); they don’t have to be H Bouquet, but can just be H Bucket to come to Jesus. Humility is what God looks for in those who come to Him.
