Reflections on ‘God on Mute’ prayer course - Colossians 1:3-20
By Jonathan Sullivan on 27 June 2021 at Service in FAYAP and on Zoom with Communion
The recording starts with three minutes of Phoebe reading a paraphrase by Johnny of Colossians 1:3-20.
Johnny’s talk is a reflection on our mid-week group studies of the ‘Unanswered Prayer Course’
‘God on Mute’ is the first of the five sessions and Johnny gives his standpoint of struggling with the idea that God is not able to speak! Of course, God on Mute is how we perceive apparently unanswered prayers.
The slideshow associated with this talk can be found on this link: Slideshow Prayer Thoughts
Johnny gives us what he considers the first principle of prayer, that ‘God is Sovereign and Jesus Christ is Lord‘, then uses biblical research and examples to help us know how to pray, looking at different types of prayer and to understand that God can answer the prayers of anyone and that He knows best.
