Serving God - Mark 16:15-20

Joanne began by quoting Psalm 100:2, ‘Serve the Lord with gladness’.
She then showed us the prerequisites for being able to do this:
1. Having a relationship with God in which we can tell Him everything and in which we learn to hear His ‘voice’ in our lives, by reading the bible and praying constantly.
2. Confident that we are made in God’s image and that He will work through us, we discover the gifts God has given us to use to serve Him and practise them (she shows it takes practice!).
Then we are able to be available to God so we are ready to serve Him and others; and she reminds us that we should sometimes expect the unexpected!
