Neville uses a few examples to say that we are not meant to know the future, and we would ‘freak out’ if we did.
He looks into why Naomi was in Moab, the risky journey of two women, and the loss Ruth must have experienced, leaving her home and culture.
He draws out that Ruth did what she knew was right and felt called to do. We all have a calling from God – to become more like Jesus; some are called to do special things, but God gives each of us the tools to bring in His kingdom.
He uses examples from his unexpected life events and reassures us that God is with us in every situation and is in control. We are to stay humble so God can use us -think of Ruth’s offspring!
